If they took this game, and just put up to date graphics on it, you’d have a top selling game guaranteed

It's funny the way I met this game, I'll tell you: One day in 2015 I asked my dad to download the mobile game called "Star wars commander" to his computer. My dad (thank God) got confused about the game and installed the 2005 Battlefront 2. Thanks to that I met one of my favorite games and without a doubt the best Star Wars game ever created

When a game from 2005 has greater quality, scope, and fun than a game from 2020, you know the latter is bad.

I loved Battlefront 2 so so much. Had some really great memories with my brother on this game. The sheer amount of content was mind blowing. Modern games suck compared to the bar this game set.

The fact that you could go into the enemy ship and tear it apart from the inside was always so awesome.

One of my favorite map features was Polis Massa. Since there was no breathable oxygen on the map, going outside would slowly kill you.

The ability to land on the enemies mother ship during space battles was the best thing ever.

I remember, playing Star Wars Battlefront II (this version (2005)), with the phrase "This is not a drill, repeat THIS IS NOT A DRILL". was a great time to play this game. good times.

This game defined an era of my childhood. I’ve never been the biggest Star Wars fan, but my older brother was a huge Star Wars nerd, and so through his love of the movies I saw them all a lot as a kid and knew enough of the lore to understand the significance of the battles in these games. Battlefront 1 was fun, but man, Battlefront 2 was a damn near perfect game. I played through the campaign several times, played Galactic Conquest all the time, used to love playing as the Ewoks on Hunt, and everytime my best friend came over we would always play heroes versus villains on Mos Eisley. Even for years after the PS2 was “last gen”, me and him would STILL boot up the PS2 to get some nostalgia and good old fashioned fun playing it. This game was fucking awesome, and I genuinely feel bad for anyone who didn’t get to experience it. It truly didn’t matter whether you knew the first thing about Star Wars or didn’t, this game offered so much unique, original and, most importantly, fun content, that anybody could hop on and have a blast. It is truly a shame Pandemic got shutdown before the 3rd one could be released, and I remember scouring the internet for the leaked footage of that game once it got revealed years later. It’s a damn shame EA got a hold of the series’s IP just to disservice the fans the way they did. This game is such a clear example of a phenomena that is becoming increasingly rare in today’s AAA games, and that phenomena is a game developed with passion and love. A game made by fans for fans. I don’t blame the developers today, it’s clear that they’re extremely talented, but these soulless publishers have truly sucked the lifeblood and fun out of so many classic series it just sucks man. This is easily in my opinion one of the greatest games ever made, and I too would shit my pants for a modern day rendition of Galactic Conquest. Great video.

I liked landing half way through the force field in the space-battle hanger, and jumping out so you could run on top of the star destroyer's hull and shoot at enemy fighters with your pistol.

The fact that I often installed this game just to play space battles for hours says alot. I like the campaign and standard ground battles, but space battles felt like a separate game and could easily spent hours playing it.

In the space battles I always used to invade the enemy cruiser with a drop ship so they could destroy the interior systems while I attacked the outside systems and destroyed the cruiser for an instant win.

The memories I have on this game are endless me and my childhood friend would always wake up early and I’d go to his house and we would literally play this all day long taking turns on every map . Those were the days.

I’ll never forget screaming “FOR THE CHANCELLOR!” during dodgeball in elementary school and the all guys laughing and all the girls confused. Best game ever
